Welcome to the Neighborhood
Mount Clare is a neighborhood in Southwest Baltimore, founded out of an easement from the Carroll family plantation and built as workforce housing for the at the time new B&O railroad. Since its founding Mount Clare has been made up of mostly working class immigrants and has a large concentration of German families living in the area. Today, Mount Clare is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Baltimore on every axis - income, ethnicity, age, religion, you name it. And we are proud of our community for it. We invite you to join us in making our little corner of the city shine brighter.

Get Involved
Public announcements are on the Facebook page. We also have a community forum you can meet and chat with neighbors on! We do neighborhood walks, cleanups, 311 reporting, and you can find projects in the works you can collaborate on in there as well. For 2025, we are working towards a new community plan with the city we want everyone's input on.
Neighborhood association meetings are on the Fourth Monday every month! Join us at on zoom or in person at the Faith Center, 355 S Woodyear St! Our meetings and many other events around Southwest Baltimore can be found on the Southwest Partnership Calendar.
